Who are you and what do you do?
I work with a variety of materials and processes. My recent drawings and paintings are made by drawing on the back and folding paper which creates a topography that captures the paint and pigment as I pull the brush across the surface. I use this process as a starting point that I can converse with. The collage and wood paintings are similar in that I’m reacting to a ground that I have created. This is a way to free myself of my mind, maybe similar to the methods the Surrealists used with automatic drawings.
